Christmas Gift Ideas For Your Girlfriend

I’ve always felt bad for guys when Christmas and birthdays roll around. There is always so much pressure to buy the *perfect* gift – which sends the right message. Us girls are crazy, so you have to tread carefully and really pick a gift that isn’t going to end in you sleeping on the couch! You can’t buy her a set of pots – or she will think “You just want me to cook for you a**hole?!?!”.. You think she’d look pretty in a nice pair of stiletto boots because she doesn’t own a pair – she will think “You want me to look like a street walker?!?!?! – that’s not my style!!!” You get my point.
Ok, so guys, this is going to be a nice inexpensive list of fantastic Christmas gifts that will definitely guarantee that you’re on her “nice” list this Christmas!
1. Magazine Subscription
Pick a magazine she likes though!!! Most girlies like Cosmo. A 1 year subscription (12 issues) + shipping to Canada or UK comes to $30 USD. Alternatively, if you’re in the USA, $28 will get you a 2 year subscription (24 issues)!
If your girlfriend is down with current events, politics and such, then maybe she would appreciate a subscription to Time Magazine. If you’re in the USA, a 1 year subscription (56 issues) is only $20 USD. If you’re in Canada, the same subscription is $50 + taxes. If your girlfriend loves fashion, get a subscription to Vogue. 2. Cosmetics Case
If your girlfriend loves her makeup, but can never find what she’s looking for get a cute makeup case for all of her cosmetics. They have a ton of them on Amazon which are under $50. 3. Custom Gift Basket
Cornucopia in Canada make really beautiful gift baskets for every occasion. I really like the Green Girl Lunch Bag as it’s very girly and also eco-friendly! It is just under $90, but it’s super cute! They can also design custom baskets for you, which contain things from soaps and lotions to wines and smoked salmon!
4. Perfume
If she already has 8,000 bottles that she doesn’t use or hates, then this isn’t the way to go. But if you’ve noticed her favourite perfume bottle is running low, buy her a replacement. This is both a thoughtful and useful gift. *This rule does not apply for things like laundry detergent…
5. Jewelry
All girls like jewelry. Necklaces are a safe thing to go with if you’re unsure – as they don’t have sizes or anything. Make sure it’s something that she will wear. Pay attention to what necklaces she likes or what she looks at in the stores when you go shopping.
Throw in some little things as well. If she’s always losing her bobby pins, get her a package of them. Things like this show that you pay attention – which is super important!!!
Also, buy her a card, and write something nice in it! We’re not expecting a Shakespeare-esq sonnet, just something that expresses how you feel.
